Olešná Reservoir near Frýdek-Místek is an urban natural-swimming area with grassy beaches, gradual water entry, refreshments, showers, a campsite, a loop trail around the water and a paid summer aquapark next door. Water quality is officially monitored by the regional hygiene authority, but there is no lifeguard or medic at the natural bathing area.
Olešná Reservoir lies just outside Frýdek-Místek and works as a practical summer recreation area rather than a hidden wild lake. The natural reservoir has grassy shores, gradual water entry, refreshments, restaurants, showers, toilets, a campsite and a popular loop around the water for walking, cycling, running, scooters and inline skating. The bathing place VN Olešná – Místek is officially monitored by the Moravian-Silesian regional hygiene authority. At the latest available check on 1 June 2026, reduced water transparency was noted, so check the current water-quality rating before swimming. The natural bathing area has no lifeguard or medic. Next to the reservoir is the paid Summer Aquapark Olešná with pools, slides, a 50-metre swimming pool and children’s attractions; do not confuse aquapark prices with access to the natural reservoir.
