Trail Park Dolní Morava: lift-served trails below Králický Sněžník for families and experts
Practical Information
Trail Park Dolní Morava is one of the most complete bike areas in Czechia. It offers around 30 km of trails, from the easy Mlýnský Trail for beginners through flow and air line routes to enduro, the Mamutí Trail and the very hard Downhill Trail. The area also has the Sněžník chairlift with bike hooks, Specialized bike rental, Mini Trail Park, bike school and full resort facilities.
Trail Park Dolní Morava is a place where it is very easy to make one mistake: to say, “it is just a few trails by a lift.” It is not. Dolní Morava is a large mountain resort below Králický Sněžník, where families on trips, bikers in full-face helmets, children in the Mini Trail Park, visitors heading to the Sky Walk and people who came only for coffee all meet in one place.
The bike part of the resort is built around Trail Park Dolní Morava and the Sněžník chairlift. According to BikeRegion, there are around 30 km of trails, a skills centre and a chairlift with bike hooks. The advantage is obvious: the lift takes you up, and you choose the way down according to your skills, courage and how much you want to tell yourself in the evening that “it was all under control”.
Why go
Dolní Morava is strong mainly because of its range. It is not one flow trail that you ride twice and then start looking for lunch. The area offers trails from the easy Mlýnský Trail for complete beginners and families with children, through Selský Flow Trail and Selská AirLine, to the harder Oakley Trail, Specialized Enduro Trail, Mamutí Trail and the very hard Downhill Trail.
The second advantage is the infrastructure. The resort has Specialized bike rental, a sport shop, bike school, Mini Trail Park, refreshments, restaurants, a chairlift and other attractions. This means Dolní Morava works well for mixed groups: one person rides trails, another takes the children to the Mini Trail Park, a third goes to the Sky Walk and a fourth guards the table in the restaurant. Every hero has a different role.
Trails and difficulty
The easiest option is Mlýnský Trail. It is 8 km long, easy, and the official website describes it as suitable for complete beginners and families with children. Expect clear bermed turns, a gentler gradient, wider trail design and rest spots with views into the Mlýnický valley.
Selský Flow Trail is 7 km long and moderately difficult. It is a technically easy flow trail with rollers and large berms, suitable for slightly advanced riders. Selská AirLine is shorter, 1.8 km, and serves as a step between moderate and hard difficulty. It is designed for learning jumps on safely built features.
Oakley Trail is 5.2 km long and already belongs among the hard routes. It offers higher berms, more frequent jumps, crossings, drops and tables. Specialized Enduro Trail is 2.8 km long and aimed at experienced riders who are not afraid of roots, rocks and larger jumps. Mamutí Trail is a 4 km very hard trail for experienced bikers, with technical features, wooden bridges and jumps.
The hardest item is Downhill Trail. It is 2 km long, descends 350 metres, and the official website describes it as a very hard expert trail with stone sections, stream crossings, large jumps and a wooden drop. This is not a “let’s somehow try it” trail. It calls for experience, a good bike, protection and judgement.
For beginners and children
Beginners should not overestimate lift-assisted riding. The fact that the lift takes you up does not mean the way down will automatically be easy. For the first day, Mlýnský Trail makes sense, or the Mini Trail Park. The resort says the Mini Trail Park has two tracks for learning off-road riding, moving belts and a small loop for the youngest children.
The bike school and bike camps are a good choice if a child or adult is nervous about berms, braking and cornering. In 2026, the website lists two-day camps for children and adults for CZK 4,500. That is not cheap, but trail riding has a simple equation: one good technical lesson can save a lot of bruises, arguments and broken components.
Bikepass, operation and rental
Dolní Morava uses online flex pricing for bikepasses. The official price list states a full-day bikepass from CZK 590 for adults, from CZK 430 for children aged 6 to 15, and CZK 100 for children under 6. The under-6 bikepass can only be obtained at the customer centre after proving the child’s age. It therefore makes sense to buy online in advance, while still checking the exact date and current price.
Opening hours change by month. For 2026, the resort lists Trail Park daily in June 9:30–17:00 and in July and August 9:00–18:00. The Sněžník chairlift operates in June daily 9:00–17:00 and in July and August 9:00–18:00. Bike rental is open in June daily 8:30–17:30 and in July and August daily 8:30–18:30.
Specialized bike rental is practical if you do not want to bring your own bike or need a more suitable machine for the trails. The official page lists trail bikes, e-bikes, a sport shop, protective equipment and cycling accessories. Rental prices should be checked directly in the reservation system, because the bike offer and availability can change.
Current trail status
Trail status is essential at Dolní Morava. When this article was checked, the official page listed the main trails as open, including the green, blue, orange, Specialized Enduro, DH and Mamutí trails, but also warned that Oakley Trail was not yet open in full length and work was continuing.
Take this as both warning and guidance: always check current operation before travelling. A trail may be closed after rain, due to maintenance, races, forestry or technical works. In a bikepark, bypassing closure tape is not heroism. It is a quick route to injury, conflict with the trail crew and stricter rules for everyone next time.
Safety and equipment
Dolní Morava can be ridden gently, but also very hard. For Mlýnský Trail, a functional mountain or trail bike, helmet and sensible technique are enough. For Selská AirLine, Oakley, Enduro, Mamutí and Downhill Trail, I would take a trail or enduro bike, full-face helmet, knee pads, gloves and ideally a back protector.
Do not send children onto harder trails just because “they can get down somehow”. The difference between getting down and handling a trail is quite important in a bikepark. And if you are riding Dolní Morava for the first time, start lower than you think. Ego can always be added on the second run; a collarbone is harder to add.
Who it suits
Trail Park Dolní Morava suits families with children who want to start trail riding, hobby riders looking for flow, experienced bikers wanting enduro and downhill, and mixed groups where everyone wants something different. Resort facilities are a major advantage, because the day can be split between trails, rental, restaurants and attractions.
It is less suitable for people looking for quiet natural singletrails without lifts, crowds and resort bustle. Dolní Morava is a well-known mountain area. In season it will be lively, sometimes very lively. For calmer riding, aim for a weekday, June or September.
What to watch out for
Before travelling, check three things: opening hours, trail status and weather. After rain, some sections can change quickly, and on technical trails wet conditions are a completely different sport. Buy the bikepass online ahead if you want to use the lowest flex price.
The second thing is choosing the right trail. Dolní Morava has well-graded options, but that is exactly why there is no need to jump straight into expert lines. Take a warm-up run, inspect features, read signs and let faster riders pass. A bikepark is not the place to prove courage to someone else’s brakes.
Summary
Trail Park Dolní Morava is one of the most complete bike areas in Czechia: around 30 km of trails, a chairlift with bike hooks, Specialized rental, Mini Trail Park, bike school, flow trails, air line, enduro and downhill. Its greatest strength is the range and infrastructure. Beginners have somewhere to start, families have plenty to do and experienced bikers have room to progress. You just need to respect current trail status, trail difficulty and your own limits.
